 ⭐ Major Club Award Winners

  • Best Clubman Award: Lucas Jurey

  • President’s Award: Pam Hepworth, Jenny Nash, Grace Emmett

🏏 1st XI Summary

Season Overview:
A difficult year results-wise, with injuries, washouts and inconsistent play. Finished near the bottom but showed significant individual improvement.

Key Performances:

  • Brian Martin: 330 runs

  • Chamindu Samarasinghe: 18 wickets + 170 runs (Club Champion)

  • Duncan Maher: 26 wickets, leading the attack

  • Young talent debuted (Hooper, Blenkiron, Brockwell, Rowe)

Captain: Shane Cosstick

🏏 2nd XI Summary

A highly successful season, finishing 2nd on the ladder and reaching the grand final, which was unfortunately washed out.

Key Stats:

  • Brad Trinnick: 478 runs

  • Lucas Jurey: 439 runs

  • Daniel Rowe: 27 wickets

  • Daniel Cleary: 19 wickets + 158 runs

🏏 3rd XI Summary

A challenging season with tight availability, lots of youth, and flashes of quality. Finished with 2 wins but strong player development.

Key Performances:

  • Tom Watson: 267 runs

  • Matt Winzenreid: 205 runs

  • Jake Mackay: 4/25 highlight performance

  • Young core impressed: Blenkiron brothers, Meyer, Tudor

🏏 4th XI Summary

A rollercoaster year with player shortages early but a strong finish—2nd on the ladder and grand final washed out after being well placed.

Highlights:

  • Mark Bailey: Century vs Olinda

  • Nick Taylor: 169 runs @ 42

  • Bailey Trinnick: Breakout season

  • Bowling stood out via Heppell, Adams, Fleming

Captain: Craig Mackay

🏏 Women’s XI Summary (Inaugural Season)

A historic year — the launch of the first Women’s XI. Great improvement, team bonding and competitiveness.

Key Performances:

  • Grace Emmett: 148 runs @ 49.33

  • Caitlin Utting: 44* & 4 wickets

  • Best partnership: Licciardi 37* & Utting 44* (108-run stand)

  • Multiple players took first ever wickets and made maiden scores.

Captain: Grace Emmett

🧓 Vets XI Summary

Dominant home & away season, finishing top of the ladder, but knocked out in semifinal.

Key Performances:

  • Dave Anderson: 213 runs (retirement-restricted)

  • Brad Trinnick: 122 runs @ 40.6

  • Todd Scholes: 7 wickets

  • Selby, Grigg, Haines: consistent with ball

  • Fielding outstanding (Cutler & Ratten standouts)

🧒 Junior Program Summary

Five junior teams plus Blasters program reached strong participation levels again.

Under 16s – PREMIERS

  • Combined with Knox City

  • Finished 2nd & won semi-final

  • Awarded premiership due to rain

  • Strong team performance across the season.

Under 12s (Two Teams)

  • Excellent skill development

  • Strong bonding and improvement

  • One team made semi-final (lost on ranking after a tie)

Super 7s

  • Two teams, strong numbers and outstanding improvement

  • Government grant allowed hiring of specialist coach (Muthu)

Blasters

  • Another successful season under Tom Badgery & Daniel Cleary

Junior Best Clubman: Brad Trinnick (Stuart Lever Award)

Monbulk Cricket Club is pleased to announce that Monbulk & District Community Bank have jumped on board the Monbulk Mini Bash to Bring COMPLETELY FREE Cricket to all kids aged 3-8 MCC cannot thank Bendigo Bank enough for all the support they provide to our amazing community!!
