2023 MCC Presidents

2023/24 New Presidents / Committee

Please welcome two new Co-Presidents to the MCC for season 2023/24 – Duncan Maher and Tim Fogarty.

Duncan’s is a fantastic story – a former MCC junior who has risen through the ranks to become a premier 1st XI bowler and vice captain the last few seasons. He is also a long time junior coach and a current committeeman filling the roles of Vice-President, MyCricket admin and merchandise over the years. Dunc’s better half, wife Emily is our 1st XI scorer. Please join us in congratulating Duncan on becoming the 33rd MCC president.

Tim Fogarty - will enter into his 2nd stint as president previously holding the role in 2018/19. Fogs is also a long time committee member and has recently been our league delegate. Tim is also a 3-time premiership captain. Tim will be a fantastic support to Dunc as Co-president and we thank him for always putting the club first.

We also have a few new committee members filing important roles who we will introduce soon.

We would like to wish some out-going committee members all the best who have been huge for our club over a number of years.

-Steve Hooper stepped down after 4 years as Junior Co-ordinator. Such an important role for our club which Hoops filled brilliantly with his organisation and passion for our juniors.

-Bernadette Mackay finished up after 4 magnificent years as club Treasurer.

-Chris Defina– after his 2nd stint as president, only 2 presidents in our 125 year history has served more years. Funky will continue on as assistant treasurer.
