Shane Cosstick Appointed as 1st XI Skipper!

It is with great pleasure that we announce that a club favourite is appointed as the Community Bank Monbulk & District 1st XI Captain, in Shane Cosstick.

Shane has been one of the most well respected members of the FTGDCA over his illustrious playing career, and has been a dominant batsman, as well as more recently becoming a very consistent wicket taker up the hill. Shane’s achievements are numerous, with 2 Jack Feaver medals and a Ron Lomax medal. Cossie is a 2 time premiership captain of the Monbulk Cricket Club 1st XI and we look forward to supporting Shane to chase his 3rd flag as our skipper.

We look forward to seeing Cossie lead the club this season, being brilliantly supported by his great mate Aaron Powell, who will continue on as Vice Captain. Powelly has done a fantastic job over the past three seasons as 1st XI captain and we thank him for his efforts, including an incredibly successful 2021/22 season that resulted in our last Decoite premiership.
